Volunteer Oportunities

Would you like to help in some way?  We have many Outreach programs.  In our community, and out in the world.  Have you thought "Maybe I could help?"  Serving does not always mean food.  Bring can goods and other non-perishables to Communion Sunday for the Salvation Army in North Port is one way.  Communion Sunday is the first Sunday of each month.  There is a collection crate in the Narthex and it goes directly to the Salvation Army!

We also need help with general maintenance.  Does the walkway need sweeping?  Do the Connection Cards in the pews need refilling?  When we have Fellowship following the service, do the tables need cleaning?  Any help is always appreciated!!

Another way to be an Usher during services.  We can show you "the ropes!"  One Sunday a month perhaps?   Perhaps be a greeter in our Garden Room!  Like reaching out and making people feel welcome?  Greeting is for you!

Hosting the May meeting of the Peace River Presbytery

Thank you to all our volunteers!!!!

Wayne Largent, ruling Elder from Community Presbyterian Chyrch in Englewood addressed the congregation as follows:

The Peace River Presbytery consists of 132 Teaching Elders (Ministers or Pastors), 37 congregations, and approximately 17,700 members as well as affiliate and seasonal members here in Southwest Florida.  Our mission statement is to affirm congregations, connect desciples in mission, and be the body of Christ together.

We meet, as a Council, meet three times per year.
