Autumn brings lots of excitement and events!

Fall Fundraiser

We will be doing a Fall Fundraiser that is just “scent”-sational! Through “La-Tee-Da!” we will be able to order candles, wax melts and aroma beads in various scents, just in time for Thanksgiving and Christmas! We are expecting to have flyers out to all families by the second week in October. Orders will be due in early November. The top seller will receive a prize; the top selling class will receive an ice-cream party! Monies raised from this event will go towards new educational toys for both the classrooms and playgrounds!

 “Trunk or Treat”

We are pleased to announce our annual “Trunk or Treat”! On Tuesday October 31st, at 10am the teachers will line the children up to go “trunk or treating” in a sectioned-off portion of our parking lot. We are asking for parents and church members to distribute candy and goodies to each child from the trunks of their vehicles. Your child may dress up for school in costume that day as their favorite storybook character! (Please nothing scary/demons or witches!) Please have your child bring in a book that represents the character that they’ve chosen, so that we can read the books in class that day. Ms. Sandi’s PM Eagles class and children that normally do not attend school on that day may join us!

Please see the sign-up sheet in your child's classroom if you are able to donate candy or dress up your vehicle for this special event. The children will be judging the vehicles and the lucky winner will receive a prize!

 Halloween Tips!

You know the candy that no one eats? If your family collects treats on Halloween, here is a great tip for you! Sort through the candy before your kids eat it.  Pick out the disliked pieces and put it in a freezer bag. Come December, you have candy to decorate a gingerbread house!

Does your family carve pumpkins?  If you can wait until Halloween night, sprinkle your pumpkin with a little cinnamon.  As the candle warms your pumpkin, your whole house will smell faintly of pumpkin pie.  If you carve early, rub the inside of your pumpkin with Vaseline.  It won’t dry out as fast and stay fresher longer!

Just a reminder that October is Fire Prevention month! We will be planning some a special visit from the Fire Department in early November, as that month is Community Helpers month!

We Love Visitors!

Police Officers, Nurses and Chefs, oh my! Parents…do you have a job that you would like to come in and share what you do for work? The children would love to see and hear all about it! Please see Ms. Lauren to set up a day/time for November!
